Which station should I get off at in Interlaken?
It is best to get off at Interlaken Ost. The Hotel Interlaken is only about 500 meters away from there.

Does the hotel offer transfers?
No, transfers from the airport to the hotel must be arranged independently. You will find several providers listed on this website.

Is there a bus from the station to the hotel?
Yes, bus number 103 departs twice an hour directly in front of the station building – 18 minutes after and 9 minutes before the hour. Get off at the first stop, Drei Tannen. The hotel is directly across from the stop. The bus runs every full and half hour in the opposite direction.

Where can I find a taxi?
Taxis are available in front of both the Ost (East) and West railway stations. A ride to Hotel Interlaken costs CHF 15 – 20.

FAQs – Hotel

Can I drink the tap water?
The tap water in Switzerland is of very high quality and can be consumed without concern. Water that is not drinkable will always be labeled with “Kein Trinkwasser” (not drinkable). If you prefer, you can purchase mineral water from the vending machine on the ground floor.

Laundry service, wine on the shirt?
Laundry bags are located in the wardrobe. Please fill out the form and place everything in the bag. Make sure to drop it off at the Housekeeping or Reception before 10:00 AM. We use a local dry cleaning service.

Lift/Hotel elevator
We have an elevator that takes you to the 4th floor. To reach rooms on the 5th floor, you can take the elevator to the 4th floor and use the stairs from there.

Luggage storage at reception
If you arrive earlier or wish to leave later on your departure day, you can store your luggage at our reception free of charge. (Please note: We do not assume liability.)

Are dogs accepted?Dogs are not accepted. We thank you for your comprehension.

Parking
There are public parking spaces behind the hotel. Parking tickets can be purchased here (CHF 10.00 for 24 hours) or you can use the “ParkByPhone” or “EasyPark” apps. The space directly in front of the hotel is reserved for loading and unloading luggage. Please do not park there.

Payment methods, how can I pay at the hotel?
We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash (CHF, USD, EUR)
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Postcard
  • EC/Maestro
  • Reka Card

We do not accept WIR or Travelers Cheques.

Smoking in the hotel or restaurant is not allowed
The entire hotel and restaurant has been non-smoking since July 2009, as per Swiss law. Smoking on the balconies is also not permitted. Those who smoke in the room will be responsible for the costs. Smoking is allowed outside the hotel, for example, in front of the restaurant, on the terrace, or in the park.

Umbrellas, oh no, it’s raining!
You are welcome to borrow umbrellas at the reception.

Wi-Fi Internet
Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. No password is required – simply select SSID Hotel Interlaken.

FAQs – Restaurant

Breakfast in the Morning
Breakfast is served in our Taverne restaurant on the ground floor and is included in the room rate. Our buffet offers a wide selection of cold and hot dishes, including vegetarian options.

Opening hours: Daily from 07:00 to 10:30.

Our Restaurant Taverne
Our à la carte Restaurant Taverne is located on the ground floor and offers modern Swiss cuisine and a selection of fine wines. The restaurant is non-smoking.

Opening hours:

  • Daily afternoon menu with cheese fondue and snacks from 14h, evening menu from 18h – last order at 21:45.

If you have any special requests or allergies, please let us know. Reservations can be made directly at the restaurant, by calling 616, or through the reception team.

FAQs – Hotel Rooms

Adapter for Your Device
In Switzerland, the voltage is 220/230 volts. You can borrow the most common adapters and extension cords free of charge at the reception. If you would like to keep them, a fee of CHF 10.00 will be charged.

Changing Bed Linen and Towels
We change the bed linen every 3 days during your stay. Towels are changed when you leave them on the floor in the bathroom.

Check-In and Check-Out
Reserved rooms are available from 16:00. The latest check-out time is 11:00.

Extra Beds in the Room
Extra beds are not possible in the 5th floor rooms at Hotel Interlaken.

Please Do Not Disturb – What Does This Mean?
If you do not want to be disturbed in your room, please hang the “Please Do Not Disturb” sign on the outside of the door. When leaving the room, please remember to remove the sign or turn it to the green card. Please note that rooms are no longer cleaned after 16:00.

Room Keys
Please return all your key cards upon departure. They are recycled and reused. Lost keys will be charged CHF 10.00.

No Smoking
Please note that the entire hotel has been non-smoking since July 2009, in accordance with Swiss law. If you smoke in the room or on the balcony, you will be charged a fee of at least one overnight stay. Smoking is allowed outside the hotel, e.g., in front of the restaurant or on the lounge terrace. Thank you for not smoking in the room – the next guest will appreciate it.

TV/Television
You can receive over 100 channels in many different languages on the television. To find your favorite programs, scan the QR code in your room. Channel 1 offers live panoramic images and regional information.
